Rhinoplasty (more commonly referred to as a ‘nose job’) is a surgical procedure that reshapes or resizes the nose. It’s performed for a variety of reasons, which might include removing a visible bump on the nasal bridge, reshaping a nasal tip that’s droopy or enlarged, or re-aligning a nose that is off-centre or crooked through genetics or an injury. It might also be necessary to correct breathing issues.

Dr George Marcells, a highly respected and talented Facial Plastic Surgeon based in Bondi Junction in NSW, recently convened the AAFPS Rhinoplasty Symposium in Sydney and is well known for his excellence in facial plastic surgery. We asked Dr Marcells to give us some insight into what can be achieved by having a quality Rhinoplasty procedure done by a qualified and suitably experience Australian practitioner. “Rhinoplasty is a complex surgery that combines both art and science, making it one of the most difficult surgeries to master. Even the slightest change in shape or structure can cause breathing problems and other functional issues. This is why rhinoplasty has a very high revision rates compared to other types of cosmetic surgeries.”

Getting a nose reshaped is one of the most common cosmetic surgery procedures. It is performed under general anaesthesia and as Dr Marcells mentions above; can often be a very complex procedure. This link has more info on rhinoplasty.

There are a lot of wonderful stories about rhinoplasty, and that a lot of people are so happy with the new found feature that they have. There are a lot of women and men alike that are seemingly enjoying the newness of their nose. Thus, it is important that you will never be afraid of undertaking such a procedure, as the risk of it is so nil.

Rhinoplasty – My Personal Story of Plastic Surgery

When I started this blog, back in June 2008, I had only imagined it would be seen by a few close friends and family, if that. Like most bloggers, I started the blog for myself. I wanted to record a journey and have it on file so I could look back at it in the future. Unfortunately, my “blogging” skills back then weren’t very good so I don’t think I did a good job at explaining the back story. Hopefully I can do that better for you today.

I had always been a self-conscious child. I was chubby, I was short, I hated sport, I had big eyes and big cheeks. I was very dark skinned (yay, 1 win!) but I was NOT the cutest kid in my opinion. I grew to be a chubby pre-teen and then an even chubbier teenager. My body was definitely something that annoyed me but it was not my biggest concern. In my eyes, my nose was target number one. It was hideous. I hated it. When I looked in a mirror or any glass with a strong enough reflection, I would just stare at my nose. I would spend hours staring in the mirror trying to work out how I could position my face in photos so that my nose didn’t look so ugly. I never quite worked it out so whenever I look back at photos from before my rhinoplasty I just notice that wonky thing in the middle of my face.

I have always believed that if you don’t like something, change it, and it was time to apply that theory to my nose. Added rhinoplasty stories here: http://www.theplasticdiaries.com/popular/rhinoplasty-my-personal-story-of-plastic-surgery.

Rhinoplasty is something that you must never hesitate on getting. If you want to see to it that you get an improvement in the way your nose looks, then rhinoplasty is the solution you must try. There are a lot of issues that you will have to face, but definitely everything will all be worth it in the end. You can be assured of being confident in your own skin.

However, fat cells located elsewhere in the body can end up making up for the difference. The JCEM study involved 36 women who all underwent abdominal liposuction with 18 of them engaging in an exercise program 2 months after the operation. The study found that the rest of the women who didn’t exercise at all 6 months after the surgery experienced a 10 percent growth in visceral fat.

Why Undergo Rhinoplasty?

It is important that you will always feel good about yourself. When you want to have a boost in your self esteem, then you can always opt at getting a good cosmetic procedure such as rhinoplasty, so that you can always feel better. There are a lot of options that you can choose from, as it is one that is increasingly becoming all too common, and is often sought after by various people. Rhinoplasty is a fast growing cosmetic procedure that is often acquired by people who wants to try to change a certain feature of their face.

When you are going to get rhinoplasty, then you can see for yourself that certain change is essentially going to come your way, and such change could exude your innate beauty. Noises After My Breast Enlargement Procedure

Breast enlargement can restore breast volume, enlarge small breasts and even up asymmetric breasts. The procedure will not only boost an individual’s self-esteem but also confidence. Sometimes after a breast implant procedure a patient may hear specific or a variety of slight sounds emerging from the implants including sloshing, squeaking, creaking, burping, gurgling, swishing, humming or rubbing. These noises are generally nothing to be concerned about due to their total benign nature and generally do not require treatment. A comprehensive, informative and understandable consultation with Dr, Tavakoli will make a patient aware about what to expect before, during and after surgery.

Popping

Do not panic if your hear any popping sound after your breast augmentation surgery. The noise sounds like when one sucks on a lollipop and takes it out of the mouth to produce that “pop” sound. It can be caused by residue air in the pocket adjacent to the implant that is forced to move from one area to another through a tight zone. The patient is likely to hear the sound when massaging her breasts, deep breathing or with certain movements. It is painless and as the air bubbles get absorbed by the body, the noise will decrease until it goes away completely.

Sloshing

Sloshing, which patients can also describe as gurgling or swishing can be caused by a fluid/air interface. Sloshing originating from the outside of the breast implants can be due to air-fluid level in the pocket external to the implants. The fluid can be seroma, which is a pocket of clear serious fluid that may develop after surgery. The sloshing sound should disappear as the position-dependent residual seroma and air are absorbed into the body. More rhinoplasty information contain in this link.

In fact, you do not have to be afraid about getting your nose done. A lot of innovation and technological advancement have happened, and that is why, rhinoplasty is something that is totally safe and one with a good success rate for that matter. Revision Rhinoplasty

We’ve all heard of Rhinoplasty, or a nose job, and it’s an extremely common plastic surgery procedure. But what happens when it goes wrong? Unfortunately, this is an all too common occurrence and many patients end up going back for a second operation. This is called a Revision Rhinoplasty. We talk to Dr George Marcells, one of the foremost experts in Rhinoplasty in Australia about what is involved in a Revision Rhinoplasty procedure.

Why have a Revision?

Whether it was for financial or personal reasons you went to your initial surgeon; if you just don’t like your new nose; or if the functionality of your nose has been compromised by the initial rhinoplasty surgery; all of these are reasons as to why you might head back to the operating theatre a second time. Dr Marcells says, “Aesthetic concerns, functional issues or, in many instances, both, drive the need for a revision rhinoplasty. The more common issues from primary rhinoplasty have to do with having too much removed from the nose structure or having too little taken off. Symmetry is another common issue. Unusually, excessive scarring may also lead to problems requiring a revision procedure.”

Your nose is right in the middle of your face. You can’t miss it! Changing it’s shape even slightly is going to change how you look. It’s important to get it right. Not only that, even slight changes in the nose’s shape can affect the functionality – and the nose’s function is pretty important! Breathing is not something you want compromised! You can read more about the medical reasons why the functionality of your nose might be affected. Additional information about rhinoplasty contained here: https://www.plasticsurgeryhub.com.au/revision-rhinoplasty/.

With the right rhinoplasty done on you, then you can be confident with the perfect nose that you get. You can always be happy with your own skin and flaunt the new you. Rhinoplasty is certainly a confidence boosting procedure that you should always try so that you can be ready to face anyone at anytime.

The Total Cost of Rhinoplasty

If you’re planning on rhinoplasty in Irvine California or anywhere for that matter you should know that the total cost of your rhinoplasty will be made up of several factors. The largest costs will be the doctor’s fee and the facilities charges, but you will also be charged for support staff, anesthesia and equipment and supplies. The charges make up the total cost of your rhinoplasty. Typically a rhinoplasty that is done in the plastic surgeon’s office will be cheaper than one performed in a hospital.

Anesthesia can also be a significant cost, especially if your rhinoplasty requires you to be kept asleep for a long period of time. Not just the cost of the anesthesia, but also the fees for the anesthesiologist, the support staff and the facilities fees will be higher the longer you are kept asleep for your surgery. If you are able to have the surgery with just local anesthesia your costs will be much lower.

All of these costs together affect the total cost of rhinoplasty surgery. Your plastic surgeon should take the time to explain all of this prior to your surgery and make sure that you understand the total costs involved. Across the U.S. the average cost of rhinoplasty is $700. Depending on what area of the country the surgery is performed in your costs can be higher or lower. Irvine rhinoplasty surgery is typically higher because of the higher costs in California and also because of the experience of the surgeons. Once again, your plastic surgeon will be able to give you a complete breakdown and explanation of the costs involved with your rhinoplasty.

Some rhinoplasty surgeons will quote you a single package price that includes everything. If you’re comfortable with that fine, but if you want to know the breakdown of costs the plastic surgeon should be able to provide you with them. Just make sure you’re comfortable either way.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons defines the cost of rhinoplasty surgery as any nasal surgery performed by a board certified plastic surgeon. This can include anything from the removal of a small imperfection like a bump up to complete reconstruction of the nose and nasal passageways. As you might expect, the more complex the surgery, the higher the costs. Costs also increase based on location and the traiing and experience of the surgeon. As I said earlier, Irvine plastic surgeons are at the higher end of the costs scale.

Be careful with package quotes as some plastic surgeons will try to hide some of the costs involved in the rhinoplasty so they can bill an insurance company. Insurance companies do not cover cosmetic rhinoplasty, but they will cover costs for rhinoplasty done to correct a medical problem such as deviated septums. Be aware if your doctor is planning on billing your insurance for your rhinoplasty and if you don’t want to be involved with this practice let your cosmetic surgeon know.

While some view the cost of rhinoplasty to be high, many others feel the cost is easily justified by their improved appearance. Cosmetic surgeons in Irvine, CA are highly trained and experienced and you’re sure to have a great result when choosing one of them. Make sure you know your doctor and know the costs of rhinoplasty and you’re sure to have a great experience and love your new nose.
